ALBIREO Multipurpose Encoder

ALBIREO is a versatile audio/video encoder able to encode and stream to various target platforms from live sources.

In addition to its encoding feature, it also includes a multiplexer allowing multiple sources to be grouped in a multiple service transport stream (MPTS) and broadcasted over RF, IP or ASI.
ALBIREO differentiators are its competitive per channel pricing, its high density and its upgradability.

MULTIPLATFORM, MULTIPROFILE

ALBIREO is capable of encoding each of its inputs to different encoding profiles and packagings allowing the distribution to several plateforms from a single equipment.

Thanks to the supported physical interfaces as well as the various supported codecs, ALBIREO can address numerous platforms:

OTT : Dailymotion, Youtube, Facebook, …

Network distribution : IP multicast, unicast

Broadcast : ASI, DVB

Hospitality : DVB-T, DVB-C, DVB-S

MODULAR

The various available options allow you to choose a system that exactly fits your needs.

You can create any system from a pure audio (radio) encoder up to an 8 inputs 3G-SDI to 16 HD H.264 streams (2 bitrate profiles available per input).

Upgrades after purchase are possible by licence upgrade or adding interface cards up to the limit of the PCIe slots available on the server.

HIGH DENSITY

Thanks to the integration of the latest hardware acceleration technologies, a single server can encode up to 16 HD H.264 streams simultaneously.

INTEGRATED MULTIPLEXER

Thanks to its integrated multiplexer, ALBIREO is able to create a DVB multiplex (MPTS) from the encoded services.

Supporting the DekTec interfaces allows to broadcast that multiplex on ASI or on a modulated transponder (DVB-T/T2, DVB S/S2, DVB-C/C2).

VIDEO COMPOSITION

ALBIREO comes with a composition engine, allowing to burn in scrolling texts or logos on the video source.
